NIA Region 8 Training Center

THE NIA 8 TRAINING CENTER aims for the enrichment of learning and knowledge not only for its officials and employees but also for its partners in irrigation development—the farmers and other stakeholders. Thus, a three-storey and fully-air-conditioned training center was constructed within the NIA Region 8 compound in Marasbaras, Tacloban City, under the leadership of the former NIA 8 Regional Manager, Engr. Romeo G. Quiza. It was inaugurated on July 7, 2017 during the conference of the Association of Regional Directors and Operations Managers (ARDOMA) held at the said building. The total floor area is around 330 sq. meters, equipped with the following facilities:

A Security Education to NIAns

     NIA, Tacloban City – Recognizing the threats to the security of our country and in our day to day activity, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) conducted the Security Awareness Seminar to NIA Staff, IMO Managers, Officer-in-charge and selected employees of the region.  It was held on August 19, 2016 at the Regional Office Conference Room.  The objective of the one –day seminar was to instill among government personnel security consciousness and strengthen security in the government in general.

ON-GOING STA. RITA SRIP

Engr. Romeo G. Quiza, NIA 8 Regional Manager, closely monitors the on-going Sta. Rita Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP). Quiza, trying to instruct the foreman of Aqualine Construction, Inc., “Unahin yung dam, it is the heart and soul of the project”.
