The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) together with other Government Agencies, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and Local Government Units (LGUs), participated the Eastern Visayas Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2023-2028 Visioning Workshop on September 15, 2022 at the Felipina Hall, NEDA,Regional Office, Palo, Leyte.
The workshop is in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which aims to formulate the vision, regional goals, and key priority thrusts of the Eastern Visayas RDP 2023-2028, which was anchored on the results of the sectoral assessment workshops conducted per Technical Planning Group on August 22-31, 2022.
In behalf of the NIA Region VIII Management, Engr. Haydee D. Amante of Planning & Design Section, and Engr. Mark-Ian C. Bersabal of Operation & Maintenance Section, represented the irrigation sector gearing towards the attainment of the highest satisfaction of the farmers, for better and brighter region.
