To support the ongoing rollout of Bagong Bayaning Magsasaka (BBM) Rice, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Eastern Western Samar Irrigation Management Office (EWSIMO) led by the Acting Manager Engr. Rizalina B. Gallarde participated in the simultaneous sale of BBM Rice in the NIA Kadiwa Store. This activity took place at NIA-EWSIMO Main Office, Catbalogan City, and Borongan Satellite Office, Borongan Eastern Samar today, December 19, 2024.
A total of 900 sacks of Bagong Bayaning Magsasaka (BBM) Rice at just P29.00 per kilo were sold to the eligible beneficiaries, including the senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and beneficiaries of the 4Ps program.
BBM Rice is the product of the Farming Support Services Program of NIA which aims to enhance rice production, increase farmers' income, and ultimately provide affordable high-quality rice to every Filipino.
