Acting Regional Manager of the National Irrigation Administration Regional Office VIII, Jaime C. De Jesus together with the Division Manager of the Engineering and Operations Division, Jojo A. Arceño meets with Department of Public Works and Highways Region VIII Regional Director Edgar B. Tabacon, January 5, 2024, to discuss and strengthen their convergence in the implementation of programs and projects in the Region.

The Biliran-Leyte del Norte-Leyte del Sur Irrigation Management Office (BLNLS IMO) officially launched the KADIWA SA NIA for the three provinces--Leyte, Northern Leyte, and Biliran. 

Sixteen (16) Irrigators Associations participated the said activity with various agricultural products, such as, white rice, black rice, red rice, glutinous rice, egg, bell pepper, eggplant, corn, banana, cassava, gabi, squash, sweet potato, cucumber, pork and chicken meat, rambutan, sunkist, lanzones, santol, dried fish, corn, pechay, kalamansi, and other products for affordable prices. 

Under the leadership of the NIA Administrator, Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen, the NIA VIII Acting Regional Manager, Jaime C. De Jesus, together with other NIA Top Management Officials and Regional Managers, is currently attending the Plenary Deliberation of the FY 2024 Budget Proposals of the Department of Agriculture and its Attached Agencies with the House Committee on Appropriations at North Wing Plenary Hall, Batasang Pambasa Complex, Quezon City, sponsored by Congressman Antonio "Tonypet" T. Albano, 1st District Representative of Isabela.

From Region VIII, with De Jesus, are Georden A. Lemsic and Haydee D. Amante to assist on the said undertaking. 

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) awards the Certificate of Irrigation Service Fee (ISF) Exemption to fifty (50) farmer beneficiaries, also condoning their back accounts amounting to 1.292-Million, relative to the implementation of the RA 10969 or known as free irrigation service act (FISA), during the first day of Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Visayas State University (VSU)-Tolosa Campus, Tolosa, Leyte.

NIA Region VIII, together with other participating agencies, convene for the final physical coordination meeting in preparation for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair on September 23-24, 2023 at Visayas State University-Tolosa, Leyte Campus.

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region VIII launches the Kadiwa sa NIA on September 15, 2023, within the Northern Samar Irrigation Management Office (NSIMO) in Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar.

This initiative is one of the directives of the NIA Administrator Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen, in support to the agenda of our President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr., for sustainable farming, food security, and ensuring the availability and affordability of food in areas with high demand and in communities with low-income families.

The NIA Region VIII, spearheaded by its Acting Regional Manager Jaime C. De Jesus, visited the Bukid Integrated Farmers Association in Brgy. Bukid, Las Navas, Northern Samar on September 13, 2023.

The visit primarily intends to discuss with the farmers on the request for Solar Powered Irrigation System with 150 hectares possible service area and 50 farmer beneficiaries.

The farmers affirmed to have one (1) cropping season in a year for their rainfed ricefields/area. Hence, they are seeking for irrigation system to increase their yield and to contribute to the sustainable farming in the province.

Ang National Irrigation Administration (NIA), kasama ang iba't-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno, ay nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ng 122nd Police Service Anniversary sa temang, "Nagkakaisang Pulisya at Pamayanan tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Bansa", noong September 12, 2023 sa PRO 8 Multi-purpose Hall, Camp Sec. Ruperto K Kangleon, Campetic, Palo, Leyte.

Ang NIA Region VIII, pinapangunahan ni Acting Regional Manager, Jaime C. De Jesus, ay sumusuporta sa Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagpuksa ng mga krimen at insurgency para sa mapayapa at bagong Pilipinas.

The NIA VIII Acting Regional Manager, Jaime C. De Jesus, conducted inspection to Hinaga Bridge Flume of Pinipisakan Irrigation Project (IP) at Las Navas, Northern Samar on September 13, 2023. He directed the contractor and the Northern Samar Irrigation Management Office (NSIMO) Manager to fast track the completion of the project to render irrigation service to the farmer beneficiaries the soonest time possible.

The Northern Samar Irrigation Management Office (NSIMO) holds a contractors' forum at the NSIMO conference room, to monitor and discuss project implementation of all previous years and current year projects within the province.

The Acting Regional Manager, Jaime C. De Jesus spearheads the forum to give input and directives to the Agency's partners for irrigation development in the construction side.

This forum aims also to assess the performances of the contractors to maintain and fast track project implementation, adhering to NIA standard and deliver best services to our farmer beneficiaries.
